Throughout Royal Resorts, our team members are wearing the pink ribbon this October to show their support for Breast Cancer Awareness Month. As part of its support for better health, the Royal Resorts Foundation has annual screening programs for breast and prostate cancer.
Breast cancer screening
The Royal Resorts Foundation provides breast cancer screening. In 2022, 305 women at Royal Resorts and Grand Residences had mammograms thanks to this health initiative and a similar number will do so this year.
In 2022, the Royal Resorts chefs joined together to host a fundraising dinner in Gran Salon Hacienda Sisal during Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
Prostate cancer testing
To support early testing campaigns for prostate cancer prevention, the Royal Resorts Foundation also funds screening for 300 team members at the Cancun resorts, The Royal Haciendas and Grand Residences. To date, only three men have been referred to their doctor on receiving the test results.
The road to better health
In other health causes, with the Royal Resorts Team Member Relief Fund, the Foundation helps team members and their families in times of serious illness or when facing major surgery. It also sponsors six children with mobility and neurological conditions to get physical therapy to improve their quality of life.
