Members look forward to seeing the same familiar faces on each visit and many of your Royal Resorts hosts have been with the company for 20 years or even longer. Indeed, you would be amazed to see how many employees reach the important career markers of 10, 15 or 20 years of service each year. Every three months, employees reaching these milestones are invited to a breakfast to congratulate them for their trajectory.

In the fourth quarter of 2014 alone, 91 employees from different departments across the company were honored for their service. They included Rodolfo Notario de la Cruz in the Corporate Engineering department who has been with the company for 30 years, María del Rosario Martinez, Housekeeper at The Royal Caribbean and The Royal Islander, Jose Bernardo Villagran and Jaime Fernando Mis Dzib from Restaurants and Bars at The Royal Caribbean, all of whom are celebrating 25 years. Rosa Dorantes, a familiar face at the Front Desk, Pablo Chuc, Restaurant Manager at The Royal Sands and Raul Pineda, Supervisor at The Royal Market in the Royal Sands are among the staff reaching the 20-year mark. And in January, our Executive Housekeeper Mirna Pech celebrated her 36th year with the company.

The low staff turnover and the fact that many employees choose to spend their entire working life here is testimony to the strength of the company, the support and training they receive, the team spirit and the work environment. Just like members, many long-serving employees refer to the family ambiance and say that they have grown with Royal Resorts.
