The COVID-19 crisis is hitting the Mexican Caribbean hard, impacting workers who rely on tips as part of their salary. Some 890 employees at Royal Resorts and Grand Residences are particularly affected by this and include maids, waiters, bartenders and kitchen staff. The Royal Resorts Foundation launched the COVID-19 Employee Relief Fund appeal to help them and thanks to your generosity we are over the halfway mark. To date, we have raised US$59,100 (April 17) of the initial goal of US$70,000. Thanks to the donations made by members and staff, employees are getting help to weather this difficult period. They are receiving a food card for $600 pesos every month for three months that they can use to shop at local supermarkets.
