Temperatures are sizzling and for those of you stuck in the city and missing the Mexican Caribbean, here’s a glimpse of Cancun and some cool cocktail recipes courtesy of your friends at the Royal Resorts pool bars.

Cancun Colada
¾ oz. Tequila
¾ oz. Melon liqueur
½ oz Coconut cream
1 oz. Pineapple juice
1 oz. Orange juice
¼ oz Grenadine
Blend with ice and serve.

Ticket to Fly
1/2 oz white rum
1/2 oz vodka
1/2 oz gin
1/2 oz tequila blanco
4 oz piña colada cocktail mix
A dash of grenadine
Blend, serve and enjoy!

3/4 oz White rum
3/4 oz Coffee liqueur
1/4 oz of dark cacao liqueur
1 oz of coconut cream
2 oz Carnation evaporated milk
Blend and serve in a cocktail glass with a melon and pineapple garnish.

Mai Tai
1 1/2 oz. rum
2 1/2 oz. pineapple juice
1/4 oz. lime juice
1/4 oz. apricot liqueur
1/4 oz. sugar syrup
Blend and serve in a tall glass over ice.

      Thank you for writing to Royal Resorts News. The recipe for the Princesa Maya cocktail is as follows:

      Princesa Maya
      3/4 oz brandy
      3/4 oz almond liqueur
      1 oz strawberries (frozen)
      1/2 oz coconut cream
      1 oz evaporated milk
      1/4 oz Grenadine
      1/3 of a banana

      Blend and serve in a 12 oz glass. Garnish with fresh pineapple and melon.

      ½ oz crème de cacao chocolate liqueur
      1/2 oz coconut cream
      2 oz Carnation milk
      1/2 a banana

      Note: Instead of crème de cacao you can also use Hershey’s chocolate sauce.

      1 oz Vodka
      1 oz Almond liqueur
      1 oz Kahlua
      2 oz Carnation evaporated milk
      1/4 oz Grenadine
      Ice for blending
