Royal Resorts Brings in new Executive leadership to oversee Future Growth

Mark Carney, OBE, Chief Sales and Marketing Officer for Royal Resorts®, proudly announces several appointments to the executive team: Bill Caswell as Chief Sales Officer; Dr. Simon Crawford-Welch, RRP as Chief Marketing Officer; and Sean White as General Sales Director. Carney has created a top-notch team of established industry experts with proven track records to lead the company into a new era of growth, starting with the highly anticipated Grand Residences by Royal Resorts.

Chief Sales Officer Bill Caswell

Bill Caswell has joined the executive team at Royal Resorts to lead sales efforts and the newly introduced Royal Resorts Signature Club. With more than 25 years of experience, Caswell brings together a unique blend of business expertise from his varied management career including hospitality management, consumer sales psychology, sales and marketing operations and financial management.

 

Prior to joining Royal Resorts, Caswell served as Vice President of Client Services for Generator Systems. Before that, he spent 10 years leading sales operations at Shell Vacations, LLC. Caswell earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in recreation with an emphasis in travel and tourism from California State University in Long Beach in addition to a hospitality management certificate from Cornell University.
 
Upon joining Royal Resorts, Caswell quickly reengineered the sales organization and undertook the marketing organization as well. In addition, he introduced interactive sales system Generator Systems to enhance sales performance for the company.
 
“Bill’s wealth of experience will prove an asset to our aggressive growth and expansion plans,” said Carney. “His leadership and innovation have produced tremendous results in 2013. We are very excited about the opportunities ahead in 2014 for Grand Residences, vacation ownership and the Royal Resorts Signature Club.”

Chief Marketing Officer, Dr. Simon Crawford-Welch, RRP

Simon Crawford-Welch has joined Royal Resorts as Chief Marketing Officer to lead all marketing efforts for the company’s vacation ownership division. He also oversees the new Grand Residences division, which launched on December 7, 2013.

 

“We are thrilled to have a professional of Simon’s caliber, experience and proven track record join our team. His reputation in the global vacation ownership industry is second-to-none,” said Royal Resorts Chief Sales and Marketing Officer, Mark Carney. “Having held various C-level positions, Simon brings knowledge, leadership and international experience that will complement and enhance our existing executive team. We have now assembled all the pieces in the puzzle and are poised for significant growth both nationally and abroad,” continued Mark Carney.
 
Drawing upon more than two decades of industry experience, Crawford-Welch has held positions ranging from President & Chief Operating Officer for Diamond Resorts International with over 168 resorts in 17 countries, to Executive Vice President, Sales & Marketing for Shell Vacations, LLC; most recently, he served as President of Tesoro Resorts, LLC with resorts in Cabo San Lucas, Ixtapa and Mazatlán, Mexico. He holds a Ph.D. from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University with an emphasis in Strategic Marketing & Management and a Bachelor of Arts (1st Class Honors) in Hospitality and Hotel Administration from The University of Huddersfield in the United Kingdom.

General Sales Director Sean White

Originally from Venice Beach, California, Sean White loves the ocean and the lifestyle it provides. As General Sales Director, White will use his 13 years of experience in the timeshare industry to successfully manage the sales line. Prior to joining the Royal Resorts team, White spent eight years as Sales Director for Shell Vacations Club in Hawaii.

 

Before moving to Hawaii 27 years ago, White served in the United States Army.
