Latest Royal Resorts turtle statistics as of September 9, 2013 are: 803 nests and 97,503 eggs protected in the corrals at The Royal Sands and The Royal Caribbean. Female turtles are still coming ashore to lay their eggs, although the number is now beginning to dwindle as the tail end of the nesting season approaches. To date, 43,454 baby turtles have been released at the resorts to begin life at sea.
