The Royal Cancun offers two types of suite: the “B” suite with two bedrooms and one bathroom accommodates up to five people and the “C” suite has two bedrooms and two bathrooms and accommodates up to six people.
The Royal Sands, The Royal Caribbean, The Royal Islander and The Royal Haciendas all have two-bedroom, two-bathroom suites with twin Murphy beds in the living room. The occupancy rules are as follows:
Two-bedroom Suite 6 people
One-bedroom Suite (A side) 4 people
Lock off* (B side) 2 people
Bringing an Additional Person
The occupancy rules also state that Royal Resorts members are permitted to invite a seventh person to stay with them In the C suites at The Royal Cancun or the two-bedroom suites at the other resorts. If this is the case, at least one week’s written notice must be given by sending an e-mail to Interval Servicing Co. and the Guest Service Manager at the resort. A daily special use fee is charged for additional occupants over the age of 16 and must be paid in advance.
Royal Resorts members should also take note of these recent exceptions to rule on occupancy limits:
* As of December 2012, two additional minors under the age of 12 are permitted in The Royal Haciendas lock-off room or “B” unit.
** As of April 2014, two additional minors under the age of 12 are permitted in the lock off or “B units at The Royal Caribbean and The Royal Islander during low season weeks only.
