State capital Merida will play host to the 17th World Summit of Nobel Peace Laureates from September 19 to 22, an event for world peace, diplomacy and building a better society.<\/p>\n<p>Over the years, the World Summits of Nobel Peace Laureates have been attended by world leaders and Nobel Peace Laureates such as the Dalai Lama, Rigoberta Menchu, Lord David Trimble, Presidents Mikhail Gorbachev, Lech Walesa and Jimmy Carter.
