This year we are joining the Ciudad de la Alegria in collecting toys for children in remote rural Mayan villages in the Tulum and Felipe Carrillo Puerto districts. <strong>Our goal is to collect gifts for 800 children, with your generosity we can bring a smile to their faces this Christmas.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>If you are currently staying at Royal Resorts or will be traveling to Cancun over the Christmas holidays you can help by giving a toy.<\/p>\n<h3>What can you donate?<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Dolls (Barbie-type and baby dolls)<\/li>\n<li>Superhero figures<\/li>\n<li>Cars<\/li>\n<li>Plastic balls<\/li>\n<li>Soft toys for tots<\/li>\n<li>Tea sets and other kitchen play sets<\/li>\n<li>Board games<\/li>\n<li>Children\u2019s books (in Spanish)<\/li>\n<li>Coloring books, pencils, crayons and paints<\/li>\n<li>Craft making sets<\/li>\n<li>Candies<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><em><strong>Please do not donate battery-operated toys, guns and war games<\/strong> <\/em><\/p>\n<p>Many of these children go to school barefoot, so we are also collecting new sandals for boys and girls.<\/p>\n<h3>Toy collection boxes in the resort lobbies<\/h3>\n<p>Look for the decorated gift box in the lobby and leave your toys there<strong>.<\/strong> The final day for giving toys is December 27, 2018.<br \/>\nRoyal Resorts employees are also supporting the Royal Resorts Toy Drive and collecting toys for tots.<\/p>\n<h3>Where to buy toys<\/h3>\n<p>All the big supermarkets and chain stores in Downtown Cancun and Playa del Carmen have even larger toy departments for the season if you are not sure where to buy gifts. If you prefer to contribute to the Toy Drive by making a donation so that the Foundation can buy toys on your behalf, please contact the Duty Manager.<\/p>\n<p>If you are not traveling to Cancun this season and would like to help, the Royal Resorts Foundation accepts donations of educational material, new toys and clothing for children and adults in good condition all year round.
