For a time it looked as though Cancun\u2019s champion baseball team the Tigres would be leaving the city, a blow to fans who love their evenings in the baseball park, the tasty snacks on sale and the family ambiance, however the news is that they are staying. Legendary Mexican pitcher Fernando \u201cEl Toro\u201d Valenzuela has bought the team, so there will be baseball here for many years to come.<\/p>\n

Baseball season starts in Mexico on March 31 and Tigres play their first home game on April 4. If you would like to go, visit the Thomas More Travel<\/u> <\/a>desk in your resort to arrange transport and tickets.<\/p>\n

In other news, you wouldn\u2019t think of rugby when you think of Cancun or indeed of Mexico, but the Hammerheads, a team made up of Mexican and expat players is going from strength to strength and has its sights set on the National Championship.<\/p>\n
