Remember, however, that for the true flavor to come out you have to add sunny skies, turquoise water and a dash of Mexican hospitality.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin: 0in 0in 10pt; text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"mso-ansi-language: EN-US;\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><span style=\"font-family: Calibri;\"><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Lime Soup<\/strong><br \/>\nSopa de Lima is a traditional recipe from the Yucatan and is a long-standing favorite with Royal Resorts members.<br \/>\n10 oz sliced green pepper<br \/>\n7 \u00bd oz of sliced red pepper<br \/>\n7 oz sliced onion<br \/>\n9 \u00bd oz sliced celery<br \/>\n5 \u00bd oz of sour lime (lima)<br \/>\n7 oz chopped tomato<br \/>\n3 bay leaves<br \/>\n1 tsp salt &amp; pepper<br \/>\n2 oz chicken stock powder<br \/>\n\u00bd oz chopped garlic<br \/>\n2 oz mixed vegetable oil (20-80)<br \/>\n7 1\/2 oz chopped carrot<br \/>\n1 gallon chicken stock<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Heat 2 oz of mixed cooking oil, add onion and garlic and fry lightly, stirring from time to time to prevent burning. Add carrot, celery, tomato and bay leaves. Pour in chicken broth, sour lime juice and sour lime slices. Season to taste with powdered chicken stock, salt and pepper. Finally, add the sliced green and red pepper and bring to the boil.<br \/>\nCooked, shredded chicken breast and crispy fried tortilla strips may also be added to the soup before serving.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Cream of Chili Poblano Soup<\/strong><br \/>\nThis mouthwatering soup is popular with diners at La Veranda, The restaurant at The Royal Sands.<br \/>\n2 \u00bc oz bar of butter<br \/>\n7 oz of chopped white onion<br \/>\n1 teasp chopped garlic<br \/>\n\u00bc tsp of thyme<br \/>\n2 bay leaves<br \/>\n9 \u00bd oz of sliced chili poblano<br \/>\n2 \u00bc oz flour<br \/>\n2 \u00bd cups of chicken broth<br \/>\n1 1\/2 &#8211; 2 l of skimmed milk<br \/>\n1 oz chicken stock powder<br \/>\n3 \u00bd evaporated milk<br \/>\n1 tsp salt<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Clean the chilis, chop and remove the seeds before rinsing the slices in hot water. Fry the onion, garlic and herbs lightly in the butter, stirring con<\/p>\n<div style=\"display: none;\">Card Recovery Professional<\/div>\n<p>stantly. When the onion begins to turn transparent, add the chili slices. Sift in the flour and keep stirring while you add the chicken broth. Once the chili is soft, blend the mixture and add the skimmed milk. Strain and add the chicken stock powder and salt according to taste. Finally, add the evaporated milk and remove from the heat.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Portobello Mushroom Seafood Surprise<\/strong><br \/>\nA classic seafood recipe courtesy of the chef at El Conquistador Restaurant in The Royal Mayan.<br \/>\n50g cream<br \/>\n100g portobello mushroom (one per person)<br \/>\n55 g shrimp<br \/>\n41g scallop<br \/>\nDiced lobster<br \/>\n30 g clarified butter<br \/>\n15g chopped white onion<br \/>\n22 g white mushroom<br \/>\nSalt &amp; pepper<br \/>\n10g ground almonds<br \/>\n3 teaspoons white wine<br \/>\n80g steamed spinach<br \/>\n20g cherry tomatoes<br \/>\n48g asparagus<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Clean the portobello mushrooms, slice in half and grill with a little butter, salt and pepper. Fry the onion in butter, add the shrimp, scallops, lobster and chopped mushrooms and saut\u00e9e until seafood is cooked. Add the croutons, ground almonds and white wine. Season to taste.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Arrange the bed of spinach on a plate and top with a portobello mushroom half, add the seafood mixture and drizzle with cream, cover with the remaining mushroom half.
