A turkey dinner special is also available on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day at Hacienda Sisal, La Trattoria at The Royal Cancun and El Conquistador and Cayo Largo at The Royal Islander. Tradewinds at The Royal Caribbean will be offering the popular Italian buffet on Christmas Eve and New Year\u2019s Eve.
\n On Christmas Day, tuck into a traditional Yule buffet with roast turkey and all the trimmings, glazed Virginia ham, roast beef and much more at La Veranda, La Palapa, Tradewinds at The Royal Caribbean and La Palapa del Sol at The Royal Haciendas. Los Murales at The Royal Haciendas and Captain\u2019s Cove in Cancun will be offering a la carte menus.
\n For casual Christmas dining in your villa, the Royal Express counters is offering a turkey dinner package (pre orders required) and The Royal Market stocks an ample selection of beers, wines and spirits, bubbly and liqueurs to go with your meal. <\/p>\n
\nRing in the New Year in style with a sumptuous buffet and open bar (domestic brands) at Captain\u2019s Cove. After dinner, the party continues next door at Pancho\u2019s & Willy\u2019s Bar with a DJ, live band and a mariachi serenade.
\n Hacienda Sisal is serving a five-course set menu with a welcome cocktail, a glass of sparkling wine and 12 grapes for the midnight toast, and Mexican music performed by a quintet. El Conquistador, La Trattoria and Cayo Largo have equally tempting New Year\u2019s Eve menus.

\nDecorating the resorts for Christmas is a mammoth undertaking and one that the Housekeeping, Maintenance and Gardening departments embrace with gusto. Displays of striking poinsettia plants or nochebuenas, Mexico\u2019s Christmas gift to the world, line the hallways. Nativity scenes, Santa and his sleigh and Christmas trees adorn the resort entrances and lights twinkle everywhere you look.
\n This year, the festive display at The Royal Sands has an environmental message, as the glittering fish, turtles, sea horses and anemones on the Christmas tree and wall displays are made out of recycled materials such as plastic, aluminum, cardboard and wood. Clouds of colorful butterflies, also made from recycled materials, complement the traditional lights and ornaments at The Royal Cancun. <\/p>\n
\nAt The Royal Haciendas, members and guests joined staff for the traditional Christmas tree lighting ceremony on December 1. They were greeted with a welcome drink of ponche, a traditional Mexican Yuletide beverage made with fresh fruit, sugar cane and spices, and watched as the Riviera Maya\u2019s largest Christmas tree was lit. As part of the event, an auction was organized to raise money for the Royal Resorts Foundation charity causes and collected $10,125 pesos.<\/p>\n
\nOwners and guests staying at Grand Residences to the south of Puerto Morelos over Christmas and New Year can indulge their gourmet cravings with a festive array of seasonal dishes prepared by award-winning French chef Yann Cozic and his team in El Faro Grill.
\n Dinner on Christmas Eve is followed by a Christmas Day brunch with roast turkey, prime rib, lobster and more. The New Year\u2019s Eve dinner and party will be a magical blend of fine food, DJ music, mariachi serenade and fun and the festivities will continue on the pool terrace (weather permitting).
