Our Royal visitors from the sea have been very, very busy! <strong>As of August 7, 290 turtles have already laid their eggs <\/strong>on the beach in front of <strong>The Royal Mayan<\/strong>, <strong>The Royal Caribbean<\/strong> and <strong><a title=\"The Royal Islander | Royal Resorts \" href=\"https:\/\/www.royalresorts.com\/discover-royal-resorts\/the-royal-islander\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">The Royal Islander<\/a> <\/strong>and the <strong>security guards have moved 35,820 eggs to the corral.<\/strong> At <strong>The Royal Sands<\/strong>, the tally stands at <strong>146 nests and 17,629 eggs<\/strong>, with seven nesting females recorded one night after several days of rain.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>The first 96 baby sea turtles of the year were released on July 6 and since then 4,834 have been set free at both resorts.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The overwhelming majority of the nests are those of <strong>green turtles<\/strong>, <strong>11 loggerhead turtles have been registered<\/strong> and interestingly <strong>three hawksbills<\/strong>, the smallest species in the Mexican Caribbean and one that usually nests further north.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Stay posted on this blog for <strong>more sea turtle news <\/strong>in the months to come.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Complimentary Wi-Fi Now Available at The Royal Cancun<\/strong><br \/>\nInternet users now have complimentary access to Wi-Fi in their villas and throughout the public areas at <strong>The Royal Cancun<\/strong>. Visit the Activity Center for details of days and times and listings of all the other sports, games and activities on offer for children, teens and adults.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>The Royal Caribbean Goes Cajun<\/strong><br \/>\nTradewinds Restaurant at The Royal Caribbean is now offering a <strong>Cajun theme night on Mondays.<\/strong> Be sure to try it!<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Captain\u2019s Cove<\/strong><br \/>\nSummertime in Cancun and the fish are jumping. Try the catch of the day, straight off the boat. There\u2019s a<strong> new menu at <\/strong><a title=\"captains cove cancun\" href=\"http:\/\/captainscoverestaurant.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Captain\u2019s Cove<\/strong><\/a> featuring some of your old favorites and many new dishes too, all fresh, all delicious.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Be sure to come for the sunset and cocktails, you have a front row seat of the sun going down over the lagoon, enjoy dinner on the deck by moonlight and then step next door to <strong>Pancho &amp; Willy\u2019s Bar<\/strong> for music, dancing and karaoke on different nights of the week.
