The 2018 Royal Resorts Foundation Race Cause
The proceeds and donations from the 3rd Royal Resorts Foundation Race in 2018 will be used to build and equip a kitchen at the Don Bosco Youth Center, a Ciudad de la Alegria community initiative that helps vulnerable teenagers in marginalized neighborhoods on the outskirts of Cancun.
These young people are often forced to drop out of school due to poverty or family problems. They may be at risk from domestic or gang violence, addiction and crime. The Don Bosco center offers them the chance to change their lives. They can continue their education at the center and learn English and computer skills. There are seminars on health and nutrition, self esteem, values and citizenship and they also enjoy sporting and cultural activities. The kitchen will provide them with nutritious meals and give them a better start in life.
