The Royal Mayan
From the beach and the tropical gardens to the spacious villas, a tribute to an ancient culture.
Opened in 1983, The Royal Mayan is the hideaway for your Cancun dream vacation.
A sun-worshipper's paradise, The Royal Mayan is in the center of Cancun's finest beach. Experience tropical ease and elegance at every turn, lush landscaping, rich furnishings and endless views of the sparkling Caribbean sea.
Guests and Royal Resorts members staying at The Royal Mayan have an archaeological site on their doorstep. San Miguelito is a small Mayan ruin in the jungle between the resort and Kukulcan Blvd. The site dates from the Post-Classic period of Mayan history A.D. 900-1521 when Cancun was settled by traders, farmers and fishermen. The Mayan theme is continued in the art and sculptures that enhance the decor at The Royal Mayan.

Villas
Each of the 200 two bedroom two bathroom villas is completely furnished and equipped with all the comforts of home. The large terrace accessible from both bedrooms and the living room offers spectacular views of the resort, the pools, the lagoon or the Caribbean Sea.

La Palapa features American favorites such hamburgers as well as delicious Mexican dishes. El Conquistador restaurant offers an evening of fine dining in an elegant, relaxed atmosphere.

Activities at The Royal Mayan
To make your stay at The Royal Resorts more enjoyable, our social activities team has created a new program of activities. Each day you'll find sports, games and handcrafts. Please note that the handcraft activities carry a small fee to cover the cost of materials used. All other activities are free to our members and guests.
