A Royal Tip
The Royal Resorts participate in local conservation programs, one of the most important of which is the Sea Turtle Protection Campaign. During the summer nights, female sea turtles come ashore on the beaches of the Mexican Caribbean to lay their eggs in the sand. Hotel security personnel patrol the beaches collecting the eggs from the nests once the female turtle has returned to the sea and placing them in a fenced off area on the beach. When the turtles hatch two months later, they are released to begin their lives at sea.
