Internal Exchanges

Sometimes work, health and financial problems or other unforeseen commitments disrupt the best-laid travel plans. If this happens to you and you are forced to cancel your vacation plans, help is at hand. You can enroll your villa or part of it in the convenient online Interval Servicing Co. Internal Exchange program and enjoy your vacation later in the year at your home resort or one of the other Royal Resorts.

The Internal Exchange program gives you the opportunity to use an interval in a week other than the time you purchased or even to stay at a resort other than the one you own. Royal Resorts has five clubs in world-famous Cancun and one in Playa del Carmen at the heart of the Riviera Maya. Alternatively, you can explore Merida, capital of the neighboring state of Yucatan, or travel further afield to the Caribbean islands of Curaçao, St Maarten or Aruba to stay at resorts managed by Royal Resorts Caribbean (independently owned resorts with systems by Royal Resorts).

How does the Internal Exchange Program Work?

You may put the entire villa or the suite or lock-off portion in the program. Some members take advantage of the internal exchange program to extend their vacation for a week before or after their regular interval or for additional relaxation during a different season.

Use the convenient online service available at the Interval Servicing Co. website, where a video will walk you through the different steps:

• Decide when and where you want to travel
• Create your wish list of up to five different options for your Exchange
• The system will automatically match your list with daily searches
• When a match is found, you will receive a confirmation
• Complete the process by paying the online exchange fee

You can check on the status of your request online and if the status reads “pending” this means that none of your choices are available. If this is the case you can select the “Instant Match” which will display other options that are available.

Please note that you cannot do an internal exchange for multiple weeks using the online program, it will only accept single weeks. If you would like to exchange more than one of your weeks, please complete an Internal Exchange form and send it to Interval Servicing via email or fax.

In order to take advantage of the Internal exchange program you must be in good financial standing with Royal Resorts and have paid your Annual Club Service Fee. Resort exchanges are subject to availability.
