The Royal Cancun (formerly Club Internacional de Cancun), our first family club opened in 1978, and is a long-time favorite with Royal Resorts members and guests who love its sheltered beachfront location, impeccably kept gardens and home away from home ambiance. Nestled on a soft, sugar-white sand beach on Cancun's north shore, the resort has breathtaking views of the bay and of Isla Mujeres.

The Royal Cancun (Club Internacional de Cancun) is the perfect spot for a family vacation. Palms and thatched palapas offer plenty of shade on the beach; the water is shallow and the surf gentle. Two freeform swimming pools with bridges, palm-covered islands, and a swim-up bar are set in the extensive gardens. Tennis courts, sailboats and an activities program keep adults and children entertained and there's even a rose garden for a quiet moment of reflection.

Just a few steps from the sea, La Palapa restaurant is a Cancun classic, loved by all for its traditional thatched decor, casual ambiance and tasty menu. Enjoy breakfast, lunch and dinner in a spectacular beachfront setting.

In recognition of its role as the founding member of the Royal Resorts family, Club Internacional de Cancun was recently renamed The Royal Cancun.

Location

The Royal Cancun (Club Internacional de Cancun) is located on the shores of Mujeres Bay at the heart of the Hotel Zone, a ten-minute drive from shopping malls, nightclubs and golf courses and a 30-minute drive from the airport.
